Yes/No Questions and answers
in the Present Simple Tense

To be:
When you form a question with the verb "to be", switch the position of the subject and the verb.

You are always late to school. ----- Are you always late to school?
She is tired. ----- Is she tired?

Other verbs:
To form a question with any other verb, add "do" or "does" at the beginning of the sentence.  The main verb stays in its base form, so it should NOT have an "s" at the end for he/she/it.

Mark washes the dishes every day. -----  Does Mark wash the dishes every day?
They dance very well.  ----  Do they dance very well?

Yes/No Answers:
Are you hungry? ----  Yes, I am./No, I'm not.
Is she thirsty? ----  Yes, she is./No, she isn't.
Do you like to cook?  ---- Yes, I do./No, I don't.
Does John play the guitar? ---- Yes, he does./No, he doesn't.
